The Seven Words
Once a year, on Crossing Day, the readers vote seven words into the dictionary.
One account, one vote, ranked in order of preference. Licensed Dreamwalkers vote, and confirm it is them with their passkey. Nothing is counted in public until the vote closes; then the results and the turnout are published together.
This year’s ballot
No vote is open. The first ballot opens on Crossing Day, Sunday 10 October 2027. To vote you need 700 rank and the licensing exam passed; words reach the ballot through the Ledger Desk.
