The margin hand
The quick hand of notes and letters, written by someone who no longer has to think about it.
The margin hand slants ten to fifteen degrees. Dots may become flicks, except that two dots stay two. Common pairs join in one movement: so and m, written as one shape for som; ka and n, for kan, the anchor.
In a margin the signs may run down the page, one under another, without turning.
